Unfortunately the weather looks terrible. Heavy rain/storms Friday and then a chance of rain and snow Saturday.

Well "Birdie" and I came down to the "Mule Town" last week and we have plans to bring "little Bubba" with us this time. I have heard that the ladies of Summertown are going to be pretty good this year and want to see with my own four eyes! So lets think the best and it will be a warm sunny day say around 72! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

Sorry Don't see the lady of SUMMERTOWN in this tournament??? They will be at the Columbia Central Lady Lions Playday. While you are down there do me a fav, and watch FCS and tell us what you think, I will not be able to make this one. my son will be playing kick ball in portland.

I am sorry but we are going to be watching a bunch of teams this weekend if the weather will stay 72 and sunny! But if we get by will be glad to tell you what we saw about them and the other schools from the big 8AAA district. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

Ok fishunt...not that I am making excuses because I have an awesome group of girls, but we are going to the playday tomorrow with only ten players, as one is on crutches and basketball is still playing (GO GREEN!!) So you will see a lot of girls out of position, but offensively we should do well. I am also excited to give some of my pitchers the chance to get a work out! (one of them is hurt and won't be playing...)

    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
