Guest Termite
Thanks, we are all proud of them and the way they played. Good luck to you. Maybe if things work-out, we may get a chance to meet again. Hey J.A.S.#4.......I didn't see the last couple of games but listened on the radio. Ya'll were in both games. Seemed to play well at times but I sometimes question the some of the personnel in the game at times....(like everybody else /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> ). Now, I in no way, shape form or fashion claim to be a BB coach. Wouldn't even attempt it. But seems to me if something is'nt working at the time, you make a change. And if a player has a hot hand you stick with him. Some players can shoot you out of a game and some can shoot you into a game. I know some play defense bettter than they play offense, and vise-versa. But if you need points in a hurry at the end of game....seems to me you would want your pure shooters in the game.......(and ,in the coaches opinion you may have) Just asking... Being a SC guy...I don't always know things about G-ville deals, I attend a few games and I know a lot of the kids there and their parents. I heard, from many, many sourses ( maybe even a coach) that G-ville was very deep this year. They could go 9-10 deep and never miss a beat. They had big men, they had shooters, handlers, the complete package and knowing some of the kids...I believed that. I was just wondering...did something happen along the way?? Did some kids not step up, fall out of favor, there seemed to be 2-3 that (again I'm no Coach) I though were going to be real players. 1-2 of them were last year..........and should have been even better this year. What gives???

What gives??? We were hoping at the beginning of the year, we would be able to go that deep, but things change as the season goes on and you have to be able to change things up a little bit if your team can't play the style of ball you wish to. As far as not having the right personnel in, I really do not think it matters who we have out there sometimes.

You may be right........but then again that could be the problem........maybe it does matter. I know,I know you ain't calling the shots. Against FC, I thought swapping a couple at the end could have been big....but the ones in got a good look and got off a decent shot.S o, you may BE right. Speaking of "style of ball you wish to play". I'm glad you brought that up. Again, I'm no coach, but I have always thought that some Coaches....not all but some............some coaches can't adjust to their players they have. The coaches favor a certain type of offense or defense.....no matter whether they have the kids to run it or not that's what they are going to do. Football coaches do the same I think...but Basketball coaches at the HS level simply will not adjust to the type kids they have. It doesn't matter if all starting 5 are 6'8" and run like a deer, or they are all 5'5" and molasses slow....they are going to run the same thing year in and year out........I simply don't understand it............ I agree termite alot of bball coach just have it in there head they are playing the run and gun style or the old school get it to the big man down low. No matter what type of players they have .I think it boils down to the system the coach was brought up in.They know it and dont want to change .Like the old saying you cant teach an old dog new tricks. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
