It's a funny thing to me this Tennessee team can have 4 Georgia girls on the roster. They all play for 2 north Georgia high school teams and live in Georgia. The AAU rules are specific and state that only 3 girls from a bordering state can be on a roster. This team did the same thing last year and no one would make them be accountable.

Who is going to enforce the AAU rule concerning this?

THIS IS NOT A RULE NOR HAS IT EVER BEEN A RULE! QUIT SHOWING YOUR IGNORANCE IN YOUR POSTS! IDIOTS LIKE YOURSELF ARE NOT NEEDED ON THESE BOARDS! IT'S BASKETBALL WE'RE NOT SAVING LIVES, RELAX AND ENJOY THE GAMES FOR WHAT THEY ARE. THEY ARE DESIGNED TO GET PLAYERS BETTER(MOSTLY). SO, GO ON WITH YOURSELF AND YOUR STUPID COMMENTS ABOUT WHOM IS PLAYING WITH WHOM. AGAIN NEVER BEEN A RULE ONLY DISCUSSION ABOUT ONLY 3 PLAYERS FROM A HIGH SCHOOL TEAM.

From the AAU Rule Book -

Participating In A Bordering District

???An athlete may participate in her District of residence, where she attends school full time OR in a bordering District

qualifying tournament. At no time will a player be eligible to play in a District that is not her own or does not border her

own. She shall register in her resident District.

???A maximum of three (3) athletes from bordering Districts will be allowed on any team at the District, Regional or

National level.

Thank you BallerZ for getting the rule and posting it.

Now who is the ignorant one? From the tone of JA, whose name describes them accurately, guilt is clearly evident. The AAU organization if founded on teaching young athletes not only the sport they are participating in but how to be upstanding young adults. Breaking rules to build a team is not ethical or upstanding at all.

1. The Knoxville Lady Panthers had 0 GA players on our roster last year!

2. The Knoxville Lady Panthers picked up 3 GA players for our Natl roster.

3. The Knoxville Lady Panthers lost one of these players this year to a big name program in GA that promised her and her mom the world, including exposure that a little ole team like us could NEVER provide (BTW no less than 36 colleges/universities have contacted me directly about the girls on that team)! Sounds like what happens all the time in Jefferson County, Knox Central HS area, Murfreesboro, and Memphis.

4. If this thread had eroded into talking about nonsense/cheating/suspensions/points fixing that reportedly occurred in the 14u/15u/16u TN state D1 tournaments then this thread would have already been locked!

It may all be old news but it doesnt make it any less true. If im not mistaken didnt the Panthers and the xtreme merge so both would have a full roster for state?

I dont see anything sinister here at all. As Panther alluded to there are a lot worse situations that have happened but your not supposed to bring those up.
