dude i dont have any problem .somebody else said the players were lazy and i said that comes from coaching.people there say that pitchers dont even throw bullpens between starts and some starts are 2 or 3wks apart.and jv players are doing nothing to get better for next yr.just sounds like not all is being put into it.YES they are winning longway to go.didnt mean to sound like i didnt like him.they have talent and wd love to see them go all the way!!!!THAT TEAM IS MOSTLEY SENIORS AND THINK THEY ###### BE DOING MORE AS COACHES IF JV PLAYERS DONT GET HELP WHATS BASEBALL GOING TO BE LIKE NEXT YR .ITS BEEN SAID MAYBE NO TEAM.SORRY JUST WONDERING.IM SURE THAT COACH IS A NICE GUY.

In a small school you have to play from year to year and try to get your subs some playing time. Schools like Coalfield, Oakdale, Sunbright do not have the luxury of have a JV team, Freshman Team. They may not have a team next year. It is all based on #'s

lets see 7-1 record 3 no-hitters by three different pitchers and a couple of 1 or 2 hit games. yep i would definetly fire the pitching coach. probably have the lowest era in the region. this info is not fact but pretty accurate. well sparky i guess there not perfect afterall. if i were you i would contact coach wilson and see if he could afford your services and insight.

I dont post very often but i am fairly close to the community and sports programs of coalfield. it sounds like you have been misinformed about more than a few things. coach wilson is a good coach and even better man who instills discipline, character, pride, work ethic, and a whole truck load of those little things that you posted about that the kids will be better off fore down the road. i have heard him tell his players many times its not about how many games they win but how many good men they can produce. im sure you can tell by the reaction of some of his former players how much respect they have for him. just hate to see a good coach and good man get bashed on here over misinformation.

i guess thats why harriman had to struggle back into the game late to tie coalfield 6-6 againts coalfields young pitchers.

very tru.. by the way scimmages don't mean anything.. it is a whole different ball game when the season starts.. so to base how a team is on a scimmage is crazy!! harriman is good and so is wartburg, coalfield, and oz it will be a toss up but i don't see a blow out anywere with any of these teams at all

A very good game...with very good teams. Both teams played well enough to win. Both pitchers played great, Trout for Wartburg and #14 for Coalfield really pitched well. It was one of the most entertaining games I've ever seen. I bet the 2nd game will be as good. Either of these teams will compete for a district championship.

Coalfield an Watburg play 2nd game today should b a good game!

    • Groves got the ball over 20+ times. His son arguably played the best for East in that game. 3rd and long multiple times and he came up big to continue a couple drives. Please shut up for the 3rd year in a row
    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
