35 out of school with almost 1800 students. How is that possible. That means you have about 450 students per grade and only average 9 from each grade level on the football team. Thats kind of hard to believe. Are you sure the JV wasnt on a water break or something when you were counting.

Senior WR Travon Johnson Likely Out For Season

 

More awful news for DeKalb Tigers. Looks like Senior WR Travon Johnson will probably be lost for the season due to a knee injury. This being the second player we have also lost, the other being starting linebacker Kevin Kijanski for the season. I can not explain how huge of a loss this is for DC. Really expected big things out of Travon this year, and having him as a threat also took a little focus off our other great receiver Abram Edwards. Almost makes you sick at your stomach hearing news like this.

 

DeKalb has already had their share of bad luck and we havent even played the first game. First losing Kijanski to knee injury, then sickness which lead to cancellation of the Jamboree, and now losing one of their extremely talented team captains.

 

I know Coach Trapp and the Tigers will not use this as an excuse. They will keep working and make the most of the upcoming season, but hopefully their luck will change.

Hate to hear that about any kid, especially a Sr.. Maybe the worse is over. Anytim a team loses a key player,,the rest has to rally to make up the loss. Hopefully that will happen. Good luck guys.

WR Travon Johnson Injury not as bad as first expected.

 

Audio clip from Coach Trapp interview says it may only be 2-3 weeks and be fitted for a brace. That is great news.

I clearly said Varsity which would be 10 thru 12 grade. 9th are freshmen and have there own schedule... several of those freshmen will dress tomorrow also.Grab a program tomorrow and see for yourself

Tigers tie game 42-42. After falling behind 28-7 to start game. Man what a game!!!!! Come on Tigers!!!!!

Still 42-42. DeKalb pinned deep. 3rd and 10 on 1 yard line. Here we go 99 yard drive!!!!!

DeKalb moved ball out to 38. Then backup punter kicked a 54 yarder, man that was huge. Warren now back on their 7. Come on Defense!!!!!!! Scoreboard broke, no idea how much time left.

Warren wins 49-42. DeKalb moved ball to Warren 37 could not score the 14th touchdown of the game. Way to fight back Tigers. So much happened in this game, will try to give a decent recap later. And I dont even want to get started on the Defense at this time, whew!!!! Not much defense, but plenty of offense, that would be DeKalb Co. for you.

 

The stats for this game will be absolutely ridiculous.
