PHargis
For all you 12, 13, and 14 players in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade and in Catholic Middle Schools in Nashvile and are of that age, the schools play school voilleyball in the Spring instead of in August and September which the Middle Schools do outside of Nashville. A lot of these are Private Schools and are not in the TSMSA. Since volleyball in the Age group took a BIG jum in this age group this year, most being out of the City, it could be an effort be taken to find some way for the schools to enter in some arrangement of Middle School Athletics to compete. Certainly TSMS rules do have a maximum number of matches that can be played a season, but it is very minimal and the JV matches a season can be almost placed in a thimble. It's obvious that young ladies have an interest in volleyball in that age group and at mininum, a couple of extra tournaments through out the midstate would be in order. This is likely something that might be of interest elsewhere in the State.
