Does Shelbyville end up with the top seed? Earlier post by Snickers had Tullahoma as the top seed. In that case I would have expected Lawrence Co to travel to Tullahoma and Columbia @ Shelbyville.

even though columbia is seeded higher than Lawrence Co. Columbia comes from a lower bracket game. 4( Columbia) and 5 seed plays #1 seed. and 6(lawrence Co.) and 3 seed plays #2 seed. Lawrence Co did not know that they were not supposed to beat the # 3 seed so it seems upside down but it really is not.

Hey mjuhb do you think tullahoma will ever be able to compete like the have in the past. I'm not trying to be mean or rude, just with the larger schools in rutherford county can their talent pool keep up.

Lawrence County girls have worked hard this year, practicing extra time several days a week. They have been intimidated by Shelbyville in the past but decided that today they wouldn't be. Must have worked. In years past they would have hung it up after losing to Shelbyville 4-0 on Oct. 1. Not this bunch, though.

 

With 7 seniors, though, it may be awhile before it happens again but we'll worry about that next year. Could be the start of something to build on for the future.
