I've heard that Forrest is going to win the district. I think not. I don't see Forrest doing anything this year. Jenkins is the only one they got that's any good. The district will be close this year but i see moore county or culloka winning the district. Moore County is a small team but I think they will do good in the district if they can keep Jean healthy.

Forrest did not graduate a single player from last years squad. If you think that the only player they have is Jenkins, you must not have watched them this summer at camp. This may be the best team Forrest has put on the court since the 96-97 Sub-state team. Hunter Shankle a 2 year starter at point gaurd for the Rockets, worked all summer on his shot and is already quick as lightning. Patrick Schnapp stands at about 6-4 can shoot from the outside and can (on occasion) throw one down. 4-year starter Ben Watkins teams up with 3-year starter Zach Kennedy as Forrests' swing men. What more can you say about Jamar? He's listed on prepstars.com as one of the top 150 upcoming juniors in the nation. I also believe they have the best coach in the district and region in Davey McClaran. They have plenty of experience and obviously the most talent in District 11A this year. If the chemistry falls into place, who can match up against this team?

Where have you heard that about Forrest? You better watch out for Unionville (Eagleville may slip in there and be a sleeper). Raiderwatcher you also better hope that the basketball team does better than your football team, cause people could lose that fear of Moore Co. :)

OH Trust in the Blue Raiders cuz we will go to the district champ. If we win I don't know cuz moore co. doesn't have a good reputation in the champ. but bet your bottom dollar ont he blue raiders.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
