New way to cheat??

Good grief. I have seen a lot of things over the years of participating in soccer but tonight was a first. I was watching the World Cup qualifying game in Mexico against El Salvador. Mexico received a direct kick outside the 18 of El Salvador and as the keeper from El Salvador was lining up his wall, the fans from Mexico were trying to shine laser lights in his eyes. This was an apparent attempt to distract him or blind him from seeing the ball.

 

Has anyone else seen this before? Now, I will have to watch for something else during games.

I saw this at a pro baseball game this fall. A laser was shined into the batters eyes when he stepped into the batters box. The ump and catcher both saw it before batter and called time. They never caught the person who did it but asked the fans to keep an eye out to stop someone from doing it again. Creates a dangerous situation in any sport.

Maybe that's why Honduras choked on that PK they had in the game last night against the US!

I've seen it in high school basketball. It's the lowest of poor sportsmanship.
