BigG
So... where is CAK in that region poll? They beat Bearden 3-1. Big G, be happy they were there for the first several weeks, you got some props. Just be happy that you managed to beat all the best teams in Knoxville this year, but remember you a small AA school and just cant hang with the big dogs. Yeah I know it smells like bait. Ah, not a big deal. Just kind of frustrating. At least the post season doesn't depend on rankings. I can't imagine the frustration that a NCAA football team must go through with the BCS rankings determining whether or not they play for the championship. BigG
Not sure you got the gist of my post... (though I liked your metaphor... or was it a simile... ah, who knows, I teach science). I think all of these teams deserve the recognition that they got, and I think it is great for TN soccer. I just think that there is at least one deserving team that has been left off that list who beat the number 4 team, and I think it is rather sad that they are not on it. Either way, I prefer large caliber guns to swords any day!

Rock
Sorry to get in on this thread late but thought you would like this. The last time I questioned Eurosport about ranking a team higher than a team they lost to, they put me in contact with their "expert" to explain the ranking. Guess what team he represented, the losing team. WOW, there is system that works!!!
h2odog
That's good information and helps some of us better understand their "system". We were just thinking they drew team names out of a hat, or tossed darts to pick names. Hard to beat a down-home bias.
h2odog
ok....we get an update and absolutely NO COMMENTS !!!!! Does that mean we ALL agree. This is a first. OMG, which is Oh My big G???? Ok, I will give in to all the non-complainers and agree as well. EDIT: Not....ECS beat St. George's and if need be will again. Why oh why is St. G #1????? I forgot, they don't go by w's and l's. A N D !!! ECS is in the Top 11 and St. G is not. How on earth do these things get put on a website without someone proof reading. I know, I know.... the real deal is about to occur. It feels like deja vu all over again.
