well im gonna go ahead and throw in spot for my chargers, i mean i know they're not a tyner or howard, but we should do pretty well...Got a few transfers/1 lost-maury ragland-to focus on football

sr-Branden Simpson-PG/6'2-very strong player, def and outside range has increased greatly

sr-Josh Moss-sg/f/6'5-very good shot inside and out, strong at gettin to the hole, great def

sr-Tyler Williams-sg/f/6'4-very good shot, defense is above good, not a strong player at gettin to the hole but very talented

sr-Andrew Wilcox-c/f/6'6-gotten stronger,and faster,pretty decent shot from outside for a big man

sr-Zach Rayle-f/6'3-strong,fast,very physical, good shot but not great, above average at gettin to the hole for his size

sr-ben stiles-f/6'-very strong, okay shot, will get his minutes, used more to get fouls and rebounds

sr-dillon williams-g/f/6'3-great shot from outside/inside,good at gettin to the whole, not as strong as a coach would like but gets it done

sr-joe fritz(trans)-c/f/6'6-great shot blocker, needs to get stronger, better than average shot

jr-scott moses-g/5'11-very fast, just a great athlete, great shot, great defense, plays just as hard if not harder than his bro shane

so-corey smith-g/f/6'1-very fast,athlete,good down low,good shot

so-caleb bryson-g/f/5'10-alright speed,increased ball handling over summer,great shot from outside,alright inside,above average def.

*there may be more players added to varsity but these are the key providers

this is from that thread.. now lets let somebody from clay show some love to the bulldogs and show the matchups. its gonna be exciting

The nickname for CSAS is the Patriots not the Chargers. I believe the Chargers is referring to Chattanooga Christian. For CSAS just remember Stallion you will hear it a bunch during the game.

No need to waste time talkimg about it. The officials up there will make sure clay wins. I coached a game at clay a few years ago where the foul count was 52-6 against my team. I'm sorry, but there is no team in this state that bad defensively.

Don't even get us started on the officiating dude. All the teams from up here have been raped by the officialls down there on more than one occassion so lets not start that. Clay Co. is a tough place to win a game and they will be very good this year. Should be an exciting game!

Officiating is bad everywhere and normally the home town teams get the breaks when playing teams from other areas. Coaches know this when scheduling these games but they just have to tell their players to step up and play harder. This will make them better for the long run.

CSAS has the youngest team they have probably ever had. They will be playing Clay after playing Pickett an hour and a half before that so how accurate a test of these teams may not be real clear. I am sure that Clay and Pickett will both provide good tests for the young Patriots, which is why you play games like this for HOF.

How does this one shape up? Looking forward to watching. Is CSAS a state contender this year?

A&S and Grace will battle it out all year for the district 5 and region 3 titles, and both should advance to sub-state. I'm obviously a little biased, but I think A&S will finish second in the region behind grace. Either way, they will probably be playing in a substate game. The patriots are extremely young, and their inexperience could be the only thing standing in the way of them heading to the boro. Only time will tell, but good luck to A&S this season.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
