Well I suppose the Tigers overlooked Oneida last week in preperation of the game this week at Wartburg. I mean it is obvious that sunbright had the better team & the more high powered offense than Oneida. But hey they are cookville bound they didnt have time to worry about the little indians.

 

Ok, I guess its obvious that Sunbright & Wartburg are both coming off thumpings against 2 really good teams. Sunbright fans brag about their offense, it was MIA at Oneida. We at Wartburg brag about our defense, it was MIA against OS. So what will give this week?

 

Let the trash talk begin, that all Sunbright people know how to do anyway, talk & not back it up!!!

You didn't play as good as you are against Oneida cuz our defense smothered the life out of you & our offense outshined yours. :thumb: I will give credit where it is due though. You all have a good QB & some good athletes but you were just beat by a better team. Having seen both teams, I don't see you all beating Wartburg 42-6. You would think last weeks lil reality check would have shut them cocky mouths up but I guess some people never learn. :thumb: I think I'm going w/Wartburg on this one. I was more impressed w/them against us than I was w/Sunbright.

I think our kids will put that loss behind us. We didn't play very well at all. Probably our worse game of the season. We will be ready for the puppies. They want be able to stop our offense.
Maybe it was your worst game of the season cuz you were playing the best defense you will see this year. Hmmmm! :roflol:

      One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.

      If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.

      I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
