i agree almost but i think polk should be in the top ten somewhere they have a lot of returning starters and playmakers at the skill postions. I think jared allen from polk should be on there somewhere as well hes the leader of the wildcats. polk is going to have a good year next year and i think everyone thinks they are going to be down but you can't look pass at all the players they have coming back. looking forward to nexy season and would love to see polk and aloca go at it next year i was looking forward to it this year but they didn't take care of business against loudon they was looking ahead which i was afraid of. next year is going to be great and i can't wait for it to start already.

I think you may want to rethink your OL selections....Steven Fortner #67 at CAK is well deserving to be on the list. I have only seen two of your selections play and I cannot comment on the other three, Fortner should be listed.

Thank you, Junior's Dad, for letting us know that Junior should be on a preseason All-State team. dry.gif

He is a good player, but let someone else toot the kid's horn....I said the same thing to the kicker from McMinn Central's mom just so you don't think I am singling you out.

Junior will get what's coming to him, Don't worry.

I'm not worried about you singling me out, I'm OK with it. Thanks for your positive comments.

Polk County, Elizabethton, York Institute, CPA, Cannon County, & Gatlinburg-Pittman were all very hard for me to keep off of this list.

I just wonder how Milan is going to fare in a loaded district in what will definitely be a rebuilding year after losing a bunch of senior starters from this past year's squad.

I agree all those teams could be in there I was wondering the same thing bout Milan. CAn't wait for next season to begin though should be a other great year in high school football.

Sorry Blaster........ being from Loudon and knowing both teams(Polk and Alcoa) well. Be careful what you wish for..... Unless something major happens between know and then, there is no comparison between Alcoa and Polk, this year or next year(except they play in 3A). Sorry those guys were looking ahead, I thought we just thoroughly outplayed you and we didn't even play our best.

But yes, Polk should be good again next year, but Alcoa will still be Alcoa.... Loudon could have a shot against Alcoa next year, although we lost several key seniors this year. But if it doesn't happen in 2010, it is not going to happen for a while as Louodn will fall off a little in 2011 and 2012 IMO.

Korn I never meant disrespect to Loudon. They did outplay Polk and I'm the first to admit that. But they was looking ahead also I have a sibling that plays for Polk and was a member of the team from 200 to 2004. I would like to see Loudon and Polk play every year i've love those games ever since little league. I have a lot of respect for the Loudon program and IMO Loudon and Polk little leagues are the best around and the high school programs both have great head coaches and staff. I agreewith you though I would like to see how we hold up with Alcoa and I'll be pulling for you guys when you play them this year. I was pullling for you guys in the playoffs I was at that game and was very impressed again with the way Loudon played. Both teams will be forces in 2010. Good luck to you guys this up coming season.

In regards to Steven Fortner from CAK I am sure he is a very good offensive lineman. I know he has to be if he is in fact a starter for a team like CAK.

With that said however I try to always make these picks with as little "bias" as possible. It would be very easy for me to get on here and try to "pump up" every guy from Cheatham and say that all of them are all-state players and that all of them are the "greatest thing since sliced bread". If I did do something that silly though I would be showing my bias towards the team that I support and would not want to put myself of those players in that position. That is why I do not "pump up" players from Cheatham on here all the time and that is why I try to be as partial as possible when giving these young men the credit that they all deserve for their accomplishments on the field.

Milan will be ok next year - too good a program for the talent to fall off too bad. Lots of new faces but some pretty good talent. Hard to believe they're not in your top ten but that's fine. I would look for the Bulldogs to take a loss or two early in the year and then see if they can get things rolling for a postseason run deep into the playoffs.

IMO - Westview will be the team to beat coming out of the Western half of the bracket next year. They return almost everyone and have quite a few 3 year starters. Manassas will be decent and Camden will also but Milan & Westview to rise to the top in 2010.
