Bradford is only about 30 minutes from my house so I may come tonight..It's either that or the middle school game to watch Lake Co and Union City.

I see the Greenfield -Clarksburg game has been canceled for tonight so Volfan.Greenfieldfan..Huff..We should all go to Bradford tonight and see if Jacketcoach is correct in saying that Gleason is going to massacre Bradford by 20 points.

I am considering it. If I do, I will have to sit on the Bradford side. I have friends from Gleason, but I just can't bring myself to sit there. I think Bradford wins by 7

Gleason/Bradford game tonight has been postponed until next Thursday, Jan. 14.................

You have got to be kidding me. What is up with these school closings and game postponements? We did not even get a 1/2 inch of snow.

I guess I'll just have to go to the Lake Co-Union City middle school game..Did Bradford and Gleason both have school today? I know a lot of times games are canceled if schools aren't open..Same here..the roads are great but Halls and Dyersburg middle school game is canceled because Halls didnt have school..Dyersburg went to school today..I work with a couple guys from Halls and they said this morning the roads there were fine and since then it hasn't done anything here..Just cold..So I guess it may be a school policy for a lot of schools if they have to cancel school because of snow..not play ball games !But I'm with you..The roads are fine here also.!

    • I have no affiliation with Maryville anymore outside of being a 2nd generation graduate from a large family of Rebel alumni. That relationship ended courtesy of the lame duck AD (a Bearden grad I might add) and the HBIC. That said, I could care less if a private school comes through and offers every promising athlete out of that school or any other school better opportunities.
    • A perfect example is for athletes at Clinton High School. I will completely understand, and hopefully everyone should understand why they want to, and as of right now, it looks like that’s going to happen in numbers over the summer.
    • I mean, that’s easy to say when it hasn’t happened to your school that often, if at all, but yeah, I think everybody should be for the student athlete or player. Whatever they think will help them or their athletic career, I feel like they should be able to do that, even if that means transferring schools. Now I don’t really get that when you have almost every offer you could want and then jump ship, but what can I say? I guess money talks.
    • I for one am all for it.
    • Covid killed the city because they chose not to play football in the 2020 season. Therefore, kids weren't able to practice and develop, and continuing to lift weights. Memphis basically had 7/8 graders, skipping a year, then playing 9/10 high school football. Now, there's only one team that has made a "dent" which will be Southwind (made it to the 5A semifinals last year).  If you want to go more suburbs, then it'll be Houston, which won the 6A state title, defeating Oakland Other than that, I agree.
