District 8AAA - How will it play out?

Who is your pick to win District 8AAA this year?

 

Lincoln County returns most of a team that finished 1st in the season last year, including an outstanding pitcher in Tanner Sanders and a line up that beats the cover off the ball.

 

Lawrence County lost their starting P,1B,2B,3B,CF, and LF from last year. They have no seniors on the team but the core of this team was very successful during travel ball last summer. It's time for these young ladies to step up.

 

Columbia returns of group of girls that most of them have been together since they started playing ball in the 8U division. Should be a great hitting team, that's solid on Defense.

 

Shelbyville has one of the best Shortstops in the state with MTSU signee Shelby Lamb and two sophomore pitchers that should be able to carry them this year with a year of experience under their belt.

 

Franklin County has a new coach and will have to rely on a new starting pitcher now that Shasta Sparkman has graduated.

 

Tullahoma had the worst luck a team could possibly have last year, and looks to rebound for a much better year this year.

Watched Lincoln Co. this weekend and they looked fairly good. Didn't hurt themselves on defence and was putting the bat on the ball in the game I watched. I think 2nd place in District 8 will be wide open this year with the new district. But who knows on any given day a team can beat any given team. Will be a interesting year in District 8 this year.

      Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.

      West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.

      I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.

      I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!

      Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
