Thanks to all of you for supporting the Mocs throughout the 2009/10 wrestling season, and helping them win another Southern Conference title. The atmosphere at all of our home matches was fantastic as fans packed into Maclellan Gym to cheer on their favorite athletes. Naturally, we would love for this support to continue throughout the 2010/11 season. If you have any suggestions as to how to make the matches more enjoyable (through special promotions, giveaways, entertainment, etc.), then feel free to express your ideas on this post. See you next season!

I would like to see the Sunday matches a little later in the day. It seems like they are always around 1pm. It is hard for people from around Middle Tennessee to get down that early. Some have church that do not get out till around noon which is 1 in Chattanooga. Just a thought.

All home matches during the high school season be on Sundays so that those involved with high schools will be available to support the Mocs.

A Bradley County vs Baylor dual meet followed by a Mocs home meet against Virginia Tech on a Friday evening to kick off the season. $10 admission with the Mocs keeping the gate. That might endow Dean Pavlou's scholarship by itself.

Please advertise via e-mail, internet, mass texting, etc so that I won't miss matches that I could have attended.

Thanks for all of your suggestions! We will definitely take them to heart. For a quick update: we are currently working on having a match in the First Tennessee Pavilion next to Finley Stadium, just for a little change of scenery. Also, the coaches are doing a better job of scheduling matches around the local high school wrestling schedule so the events do not conflict with one another.

    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
    • Interesting how quite it is. Rumors are going around that Anderson County is being looked at by TSSAA for recruiting violations with the Campbell County transfers.
    • I heard from a member of the teaching staff that there has been a dispute over use of the game field between football, and girls lacrosse team. Girls had a game and wanted to warm up and football coaches did want to leave. The football coaches came down hard with some bad vulgar language and the girls lacrosse backed down. What a classy act BHS athletics has become.
    • The lawsuit requests a jury trial. Sable Winfree has extremely competent legal representation. FYI - her lawyer represented the Warren County school system for years, and I believe he knows what constitutes a reasonable lawsuit.
