the 87 in the top left is what he topped at in a tournament at the beginning of the season in Mississippi. Came out of the bullpen in the last inning.

The kid did hit 90. I did not see but was told by the scout that had the gun on him. I understand he wasn't necessarily throwing it over the plate, but did hit 90.

You would have to say , he must have been around the plate enough to give Columbia their first lost of the district. Right?

I may be wrong, but my understanding is that he pitched in something like an 8-1 loss in the tourney? As I mentioned before I was not there and the only details I got were that he hit 90 but was not around the plate.

I was there; He hit 90 then was checked later on three pitches ina row. All three showed 87 each pitch. He did come out of the bull pen and was a little wild. But the next night he did start and pitch five innings in the 8-7 win over Columbia for their first district loss.
