Tenn-Ga All-Star Baseball Classic

AT&T Field, the home of the Chattanooga Lookouts, will once again host the Tennessee-Georgia All-Star Baseball Classic.

The 9th annual game, featuring recent graduates from Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia, will take place on Monday, June 14 with first pitch of the nine-inning game scheduled for 6 p.m.

Tennessee won the first eight meetings before Georgia finally broke through last year with a 3-2 win. Current Chattanooga State Tiger Gabe Herman (Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe) was named the game’s Most Valuable Player.

Over the years, the All-Star Classic has showcased some of the best players the Tri-State area has to offer. Several alumni, including Wes Hodges (Baylor), Blake McDade (Ooltewah), Adam Howard (Ooltewah), Charlie Culberson (Calhoun), Jacob Robbins (Calhoun) and Tanner Moore (McCallie), have gone on to standout college and professional careers.

Soddy-Daisy’s Jared Hensley will direct Team Tennessee while veteran skipper Bobby Brotherton will guide Team Georgia.
