So now that camp is over, who is the team(s) to beat in 8AA? Could the balance of power actually shift at the top? Sleeper? Here's mine.

King I agree Cannon and LA will battle it out all season girls and boys side they are both very well coached, can never count out Upperman but should be a fun season to watch one of the best AA districts in the state

The District belongs to Cannon Co. It's theirs to loose. LA and Upperman may be the heartbreak teams to take them off the top.

Dekalb Co. is no longer the doormat in 8AA. They will beat somebody on a given night.

If CC is healthy, the district might belong to them. Its a 3 horse race IMO.

I wouldn't think that there is a die-hard favorite. Cannon has advantages on Livingston, as well as Livingston has on Cannon. Look for young(er) players to impact a game as well. The question has been for the past few years at Livingston "Can the posts cause problems?" In 2009, somewhat, 2010, somewhat. 2010-2011, definitely.

 

As for Cannon, Taylor King and Emily Sissom are powerful by theirselves. I look for Reuhlen to be back to start the year, and if she comes back raring and ready to go, I see some very explosive games between the top two.

 

Upperman is a big mystery. Biles seems to get her share and more of touches, while Carter has come on strong, too. Smart team that can contend, but how far can one player take you?

Got to agree with jimbo it's Cannon's going in but we all know how this district can go. One things for sure it's getting closer to tip off!!!!!!!!

Cannon County looked real good at MTSU, but you know Livingston and Upperman are both going to push Cannon for the top spot.

Going to be very interesting this year, Livingston and Upperman have ruled this thing since Jackson County left, Cannon County should be good again, and better watch for York, they may surprise a lot of people this year. If the Lady Tigers can find a pt guard they will be tough to work with also with Webb back, but we will see only a couple of months away
