volntn
Unfortunately for Walker Valley, they haven't done a very good job recruiting or coaching for that matter.
etnfan
Did you miss the fact that both kids were declared eligible? Let it go. According to TSSAA standards, as determined by the members of TSSAA, some of the eligibility rules are: Athletes must live at home with their parents; In order for a transfer student with an athletic record to be eligible at another school there must be a bona fide change of residence by the athlete's parents; All transfer students must be approved by the Executive Director of TSSAA before participating in any game or contest; Hard to believe these qualifications were all met. If the transfers were approved PRIOR to the participation of any game, then why did it take so long to decide the eligibilty? Doesn't make sense. The allegations should have been squashed much earlier than they were. The fact is that Cleveland is well-known for shipping in talent and housing them in coaches residences-and it's not just their football program. Jedi
dude get over it, nobody is talking about it anymore. Does everyone know that Cleveland Basketball team just got a transfer from Notre Dame who is a 10th grader played with the Tenn Travelers this past summer. D J Bowles he started last year for Notre Dame High School, Cleveland needed a point guard so they got Notre Dame's. I am sure its all legal.... Anyway, last year their football team lost tailback and receiver so they went and got those two replaced them with Chattanooga "Soddy" kids that were seniors. Picked up Meigs kid that was a senior as well. My question is since everyone knows this does any of the kids who do not get to realize their dream to play the position's these kids take when they are brought in do they care? Seems like kids that grow up in that program would be upset that they are passed up by other athlete's that are not from Cleveland?

I don't know where you get your information that Cleveland is "going and getting" people. Kids transfer constantly...to and from all schools. Recently, Red Bank got a stud running back from North Carolina. Did you accuse them of "going and getting" him? ...and what of their other running backs waiting in the wings? Like CBRF said, this subject is tired...all transfers at CHS are clear, whether or not you like it or believe it. Let's carry on...
