duckman38201
This game will be what it is. But, I have a good friend from Decatur Co. that was at the first matchup. He told me on Saturday after the game that he knew from the opening kickoff that Riverside was in trouble with Dresden. The Panthers were flat and not really ready to play. Both ya'll best bring your A game. Get tough Dresden.

LHeat99
Just wondering how much rain have you been getting in Decatur Co? I remember the last game, Dresden's sideline was standing in water in the middle of a long dry spell. Wondering if Riverside will wet the field again, or wait on mother nature this time? Seems like trying to slow down the spread with the wet field might have made the ball slick! I remember seeing a post last time this game was played about the field being wet and hinting Riverside wet the field on purpose. For all the conspiracy theorist out there in Dresded (and TCA) a water line broke that feeds the sprinkler sysyem that week. I had this confirmed by a school official. After making the trek myself, yes the sidelines were muddy along with some water being around the bleachers. As far as the field there might have been a hint of water near the sideline, but in no way was the field soaked. Get the facts straight Mr. Garrison before making lame accusations. DominatingD
i came to the westwood playoff game last year. No rain, but there side looked like a pig pen. Conspiracy?
mrKhalifa78
I reckon they think they can slow these spread teams down with a soggy field???
LHeat99
I reckon they think they can slow these spread teams down with a soggy field??? Did you see the post about the sidelines? Sidelines, not wet field lol. This stage of denial seems to be advanced in your case. Maybe Riverside can slow down that spread somehow. Clearly a wet field would have no effect on RHS being that their offense is based on runnin side to side, and then "cutting" upfield. Cmon dude get real. CosmicCommander
The old broken waterline trick, aye? Seven I think TC used that trick back around 88' or 90' vs. FCS when their "field house flooded." LOL

LHeat99
From the side of the field I was sitting on, it sure looked like a win for the Lions to me. Riverside came out cocky and expecting the win. Dresden came out with the most heart and determination and made the big plays when it mattered most. You may have some athletes but these Dresden boys play with the most heart and determination of any team I have watched and the "Lil Lions" were able to take the Panthers down. I'll take heart and determination over arrogant athletes any game. If we went with the coulda, shoulda, woulda theory, it wouldn't be football and we wouldn't have playoffs. The Lions may or may not be able to beat Riverside twice but give our boys the credit they deserve, they won that game! Dtown fan your exactly right it was a win and a good win for your program. They made the big plays when it mattered and showed a lot of heart. You said our boys are "arrogant and cocky" and I agree with you to an extent. Confidence is a big issue in any sport, it's a must. Sometimes it is confused with cockiness, but in my opinion a team needs a little swagger especially in football. Im not saying all antics surrounding the hype of a game is not bush league, but this is an undersized team that believes they will win, and can win. Something you got to have on a "team". If that translates into being arrogant then I'll take the arrogance. But I will be one of the few here that will give you the credit they deserve for beating the Panthers last time. It was a legitimate win plain and simple. Hope for a injury free game this Friday, Panthers 34-

badbob
I completely agree with mr gametime.. RHS shot theirselves in the foot.. meaning RHS should have won, that they beat dresden in every aspect of the game except on the scoreboard, which was their own fault .Dresden was without a doubt the most solid team riverside has played all year. but it's gona come down to if riverside loses theirselves the game. other than that happenin I think riverside should have this one. Good luck to both teams. Most solid team DCRHS faced all year was Perry Co. Vikings without any doubt! I'll be suprised if they don't get to the championship game in single A. If Riverside plays ball and doesn't have turnovers they win simply put. Refs had no bearing on last game.
