We have Hampton (#4), Cloudland and Cosby in Dist 1 and 2 looking pretty strong.... I wont go out on a limb and say much until Hampton gets by Cloudland and Unaka (we've already beat University High and N Greene and carry a victory average near 30 pts). Hampton, Cloudland and Cosby have played and are playing tough AA, and AAA teams (no candy schedules).

But believing Hampton, Cloudland and Cosby will come out the strongest in these two districts, does anyone know enough about these three and the top 3 teams out of 10, 11, and 12 to have an opinion on future match ups?

You know all that your gonna get from this post is a bunch of western tn people who don't even realize how good Hampton is this year or even who they are for that matter. but they will find out soon enough.

That did cross my mind....sometimes better to keep quiet!

But I wanted objective info on the better teams from the West...and there are some good ones!

Ok, if you want West Tenn districts, that would be districts 13, 14, 15, 16. Districts 10, 11, 12 are middle Tennessee districts. I am not clear on what 10 has, although their region is 5A and they include the Nashville/Clarksville area schools. I know that in Region 6A we have the likes of Summertown, Perry County, Columbia Academy, Mt Pleasant, Wayne County, Culleoka, Loretto, etc. That said, the 4 teams out of this region to have an eye on are Summertown, Perry County, Columbia Academy, Mt Pleasant. SHS and PCHS are district 12 and CA and MPHS are 11A. Summertown already owns a combined 4 DOUBLE DIGIT wins over CA and MPHS. Perry County has beaten Summertown by 2 at home. Rematch is set for this Friday. Summetown has 7 losses, however, they are 9-1 vs Class A and own 3 wins over currently ranked Top 10 teams. They have played the likes of Lawrence County (favorite in 8AAA) twice, Spring Hill (very good team from 9AA), Red Bank, McGavock (lost our best player with a sprained ankle in the first quarter and lost by about 10). I think Perry County and Summertown match up very well with the teams in your region.

We have a habit of calling anything past Knoxville, "West"...it's all a bit West from us here!

Agreed that PC and STown look similar.....Hampton is ranked #2 amongst are top ten...#1 being AAA multi-State champs, Science Hill High....Who do you see coming from the 13-16 divisions causing the most problem?

I know what I think, but you're a Little closer to the action in that part of the state

Probably Middleton and Humboldt. I just posted on predictions for state where i broke it all down as to who will come from where--it is pretty in depth.

    • It was not ACHS at all, they have zero reason to worry about Clinton.  It had to do with a kid (non football player)  that had a charge and appeared in front of the juvenile judge.  The judge saw that the kid was way behind credit wise for his grade and told him to reappear in a month with a plan to graduate.  When the kid reappeared he had more that twice the credits than one month before.  The judge called BS and contacted the school.  That is what started the investigation.  This involves multiple students, but to this point no athletes are involved.
    • I believe the Covington Chargers travel to Trenton Peabody for a scrimmage today? Anyone going to this? Curious how the Chargers will do.
    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
