In Vandy's season opener today at San Diego, Tony started in lf and batted lead off. Due to rain, the game was called after five with Vandy winning 4-3. In three at bats, he has two walks and a ground out, stole a base and scored a run. He walked and scored in the top of the sixth but that was erased due to the rain. Not surprised at all but pretty heady stuff for a true freshman to win the lead off spot for a contender in the SEC.
