Forget that Kayla Biles is the mid-tn scoring leader(23.+ per game). Her defence sits her above the others(steals,assists,rebounds, and tipped passes that enable others to score.

Her intensity and success on both ends of the court, makes her the obvious choice.

Taking nothing away from Miss Biles but it's normally easier to have a higher scoring average on a team that has basically two scorers. LA's scoring is spread among several players. I don't believe Mackinzie Sells' intensity and success on both ends of the court can be questioned, along with the fact is that she led her team to an undefeated district season and a district tourney title in a very tough district.

LA has a balanced scoring attach and a more balanced team therfore individual stats wont be as high. Upperman had 3 girls do all their scoring last night and one of them made one shot. If Sells attempted 35 shots a game like Biles her scoring average would be untouched.
