Location : Pigeon Forge High School 414 Tiger Drive Pigeon Forge, TN 37863

 

Entry Fee: $285.00 Admission: $10.00 adults, $5.00 students / Day

 

Schedule:

12/21 12/22 12/23

9th /JV/Girls Tourn. Weigh ins: 7:30 – 8:30 am Weigh in: 7:30 - 8:30 am

(* separate entry fee $10 per) Coaches Meeting: 8:45 am Coaches Meeting: 8:45 am

Wrestling: 9:00 am Wrestling: 9:00 am

 

Awards: 1st – 6th Team Plaques

“OW†Lower Weight Wrestler (voted by officials)

“OW†Upper Weight Wrestler (voted by officials)

 

Tournament: 9-10 mats, 20-25 Teams (first 25 to send in signed contracts).

ï‚· Everyone guaranteed 7 - 9 matches!!!

ï‚· Send in last years and this years team accomplishments to

separate the top teams, or will be randomly drawn.

ï‚· Hospitality for Coaches, table workers, & officials.

ï‚· Each team must provide a score keeper per table (2 / table).

ï‚· Round robin / pool format, each day.

ï‚· Great place for TEAM / FAMILY vacation and for CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!

 

Championship Criteria / Pool Tie Breaker: Same as National Federation rules!

Jefferson Co. (GA * AA State Champs), Carrolton (GA ), Gilmer (GA* AAA State Champs), Holy Innocents (GA), Ringgold (GA), Dutch Fork (SC ) 6 different States Represented !

Cost: $ 8.00 / Athlete (Must pay for all entries you send in. Checks

Payable to “ PF Wrestling†)

 

Coaches & wrestler check in: 4:00 pm.

(Coaches: if you don’t check in your wrestlers they will be scratched from the tournament)

 

Wrestling: Will begin at 5:00 pm until finished.

 

Placement: 1st & 2nd place medals

 

Admission : $ 5.00 adults / $ 3.00 students / under 5 free

 

Format:

ï‚· 2-1-1 periods.

ï‚· 4 wrestlers (round robin)

ï‚· Concessions will be provided.

ï‚· Grouped 2-4 closest to actual weight;

& 2 divisions (9th & JV & Girls)

 

Pre-registration: Actual weights must be sent in by

Monday , Dec. 19th by 6:00 pm!!!!

No on-site weigh ins. (weigh in at your school)

No walk-ins will be accepted!!!

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
