Need a clarification...

Is there a limit to the number of yellow cards you can receive in consecutive matches?

If a player recieves a yellow every match? ok

Also, does receiving a red card counts towards future games' suspension, etc? Is the set at the district level or broader?

Thanks

I don't think there is a penalty for consecutive games with yellow cards in high school. College has a rule, as do the pro leagues, but not high school.

Red card violations can cause a 1 or 2 game suspension which is TSSAA wide (which means it doesn't matter what team or division you are playing against). The next 2 games, you sit out.

Consecutive red cards can become an issue with the TSSAA and the school.

Hope that clarifies!

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
