The meanest fastball in Tennessee?

Daniel Norris- Science Hill

When I saw him last, he was consistent 92-94.. he can bump it up a few more mph too.

Stephen Gant- Riverside

I haven't seen him throw, but I've heard he's in the 89-91 range.

David Hess- Tullahoma

He hasn't gotten near as much recognition as he deserves. He is currently 6-1 with a 0.36 ERA and he is leading the state in strikeouts. He topped at 93 last summer for the Tennessee Twisters, and from what I've seen this year, he's been anywhere from 89-94.

As much as I like Hess and Sheffield from Tullahoma, they are a little over hyped. Don't get me wrong they are good (not great) High School arms. Saying that I have yet to see them beat a quality team. Been watching these guys over the last couple of years and have yet to see the speeds talked about on here.

Hard to believe he is leading the state in strikeouts when Gant has double digit strikouts in every game he has pitched

I would like to see a comparision of impressive numbers between Norris and Gant.

Daniel Norris plays in AAA.

Stephen Gant plays in A.

There should be absolutely no comparing the two when it comes to strikeouts, W/L, etc. Bottom line is D-No is 1st round pick and Gant is a college player. There you go.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
