Yes. Sorry I didn't update. 3-0 Hardin Valley. All goals were world class and happened in the first 10 minutes after the delay. The first was about 8 seconds after the delay.

The game was very even up to that point. Both teams had great scoring opportunities, with keepers coming up big.

After the delay JV had a throw in at mid field. One defensive header, attacking header, full volley, and side net. Really don't think the keeper had a food chance of saving that one. Second goal came about 4 minutes later off a very powerful free kick. Again side netting. Keeper took one step the wrong way and the ball bent with a lot of pace back the other way. Last goal was a break down the left side and again, ball was ripped into the side of the net.

DB finally regained some composure and was able to have a couple of legitimate chances, but could not find the net.

Both teams had a similar style of play. Keeping possession at times and stretching the back lines with some longer balls. It was a fun game to watch and worth every penny.

Confirmed. Danny Martinez sliced thru defense most of the night. Overton played strong defense and didn't give HHS many opportunities.

This was a really fun game to watch. Danny Martinez took advantage of 3 defensive miscues. He is lightning quick and creative. Two of his own goals and an assist. Within the first few minutes of the game Overton was up 2-0 and I think Hendersonville looked a little panicked. I still felt like Hendersonville controlled posession but Overton was stong on all thirds of the field and never gave Hendersonville too many good looks at the goal. I had not seen Overton this year they were a lot bigger and faster than I expected. The Overton goalie was also stellar that night and handled everything that came his way very comfortably. The defense made it difficult for Hendersonville to get clean shots. Although there was no scoring in the second half you never got much of a sense that Hendersonville was going to get back into the game. Perhaps if they had scored a goal early in the second it could have made a difference but without something to build a little momentum on they looked a bit deflated.

Great game and it will be interesting to see how far Overton can take their game at the state level.
