Final: Tyner 40-10. Most people who were not there, which is probably all you experts on here, will say "I told you so". But if you were there, you know Marion had their chances, but when you fumble the ball 5 times in 6 possesions you're not going to beat many teams, especially a team the caliber of Tyner. Marion controlled the first half, holding Tyner to four offensive possessions. They moved the ball very well and played inspired defense. Kids were well-prepared, but when you give the other team that many chances on your side of the 50 yard line, it will jump up and bite you in the tail. Marion now has to move on and get ready for next week with a battle looming in Polk Co. Game should be for second in the region with a home playoff game on the line.

    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
    • Gunner Warren was the second starter, freshman. SP #1 arm impressed me last night.
