Congrats to Coach Batten! Well deserved. Will he be able to bring in any coaches? BGA already has an established defensive coordinator. Who will be the Ensworth DC? D2 coaching carousel.

Looking in from the outside and it doesn't matter the sport, your comment on the D2 carousel at this time borders on panic the way its happened. It also dilutes any advantage any school might have had in securing rescorces and building traditions. That, in itself, has been important in the past. But now the important things begin to show up. Athletics play their part. Some will catch up in facilities

which is impressive but with the fruit basket turn over of current coaches within in the D2 system, other things will be more important. Only really two schools now that have drawing cards (personality coaches). Schools are being consumed by themselves and this will take some time to re-establish. Its amazing how more valuable integrity and confidence have gotten in looking at these positions. The carousel ripples thru the whole organization. Its that way no matter whether its D2 or D1 or for that matter a small business or a large one. Whether its a headmaster or a principal or a coach. Scale makes little difference. Quality, development and confidence have now become the major issues as it should be. Success breeds success.
