Hey, I agree..Hassell was awesome on the High School and College level..A media person from the 97 Class AAA state tournament made a comment after the Clarksville-Cleveland game (1ST Round Tournament), that in all of the years he had covered the TSSAA boys state tournament he didnt think he had ever seen a guy put on the type performance in TN. He said Trenton Hassell may have been the best player to have performed at the Murphy Center during the state tournament ever. That included guys like Tony Delk, Penny Hardway and Ron Mercer both had great apperences during the boys state tournaments when they were in high school. So thats some really good company Trenton was associate with. Hassell played really well in both state tournament appereances..both vs Mr.Basketball winners, (Tony Harris and Vincent Yarbrough the following year).

However Trenton may never be a star in the NBA, he'll make a good role player that'll help some team win a NBA Championship because he does the small things that no Pro player wants to do.

But once again, that was a good comment about Hassell.

Oscar Robinson is NOT from TN........

I apologize for my error, Oscar Robertson played high school ball in Indiana. However, he was BORN in Charlotte, TN in 1938, and his family moved due to the racial problems in the South at that time. I remebered this from Sports Century, but had to go back and check facts.
