Henry County at West Creek

Well...Henry County coming off a very impressive win over a good Springfield Yellowjacket team..will travel back to Clarksville to take on the West Creek Coyotes who have yet to find the win column this season. The Coyotes stiffened up their non-district schedule this year and it looks like that plus the lack of winning will keep them from returning to the playoffs after making an appearance last year! Can anyone give the Patriot fans a report on the field conditions at West Creek. Two years ago, HC played the 3rd game ever on that surface...wet, raining, muddy, soft, and new..which made for a messy and dangerous situation...has it improved as it has aged?

I certainly hope the field conditions are better this time around. My good friend's son was on the team the last time they played over there, and he said it, along with the Rossview field were by far the two worst he had ever played on. I know it obviously had a lot to do with the weather this region received that year. Although I haven't checked the weather forecast, I hope they are better equipped to handle it this time around. Those conditions can be an injury waiting to happen.

As for the game, lets just play our game and stay healthy. It should be another yawner.

The field wasn't bad last year when Springfield played at West Creek, but it was at the end of the year and it was partially frozen I believe.

Thanks for showing the Jackets some respect by calling them good, Prez, I just wished we had looked the part last week! The Commisioner said you guys showed him a good time tailgating, maybe we can return the favor next tear! Good luck against West Creek.

I personally feel like this is a bye week for us...as will be the case for the rest of the season.

I don't think starters should play long at...if we keep them in longer than the first quarter we are stupid. (as long as the score allows, which it should)

If we get someone hurt on that terrible surface over there it could be disastrous for our post season run.

Is there anyone interested in taking a fan bus this week?? Say $15 to West Creek and back?

    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
    • They struggled to field a team last year. I don’t see them being much better?
    • sx good two know thay didun't waint that entarr citty two see yeller/red......
    • Couldn’t agree more.. Tate is a special kinda player , but fortunately for us we get a best of 3 series. I think our pitching is better than last year when we made the trip to west tn. Should be a fun 2 or 3 games.
