The 2011 season seems to be in full swing. Who is going where, and what are any predictions for this weekend. I know about this Saturday, September 24th:

-Mid-West Tennessee Marching Band Contest (@ Waverly Central HS?)

-Patriot Preview (Jefferson County HS)

-Logan County HS Festival of Bands (Russellville, KY) <McGavock is going here>

-BOA Regional (Richmond, KY)

-Karns Invitational (Karns HS) <Riverdale is going here>

Patriot Preview results (as I wrote them down, so they might not be completely accurate)

 

-Sweetwater- Band 2, guard 2, drums 2, drum major 2

-Wartburg- band 2, guard 2, drums 2, drum major 1

-Sullivan North- Band 1, guard 1, drums 1, drum major 1

-Grainger- Band 1, guard 2, drums 2, drum major 1

-McGavock is going to 2 contests this weekend (Caldwell County Festival of Pride,Princeton, KY & Christian County Tournament of Bands, Hopkinsville, KY)

 

-Foothills Classic at Seymour HS will feature several East TN, and Far East TN Bands.

 

-Vanderbilt Marching Invitational featuring several Middle TN, Kentucky bands, and some other out of state bands (Alabama, etc)

      TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.

      stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
