Performance Psychology Training the Mind for Competition – Dr. Tiffany Breeding This year, Lion’s Pride will be elevating their game. All elite competitors know that 90% of success on the mat is mental. At Lion’s Pride we are dedicated to developing the complete athlete. With this said, Dr. Tiffany Breeding, Nashville-based performance psychology consultant and youth sport specialist, will be offering a series of dynamic and interactive mental training sessions to our athletes. In just four half hour sessions of intensive training, athletes will be armed with the skills and techniques they need to face any level of competition, and excel. Goal setting, attention/concentration training, visualization and anxiety reduction are only a few of the essential skills they will gain from this invaluable mental conditioning program. Top Level Technique Coaches Stephen Petricca & Charles McTorry will be teaching top level training in core fundamentals for Advanced and Novice groups Advanced (More than 5 years wrestling) Collegiate level drilling while working on critical success factors in movement and the dissection of sound fundamentals. We don’t want to retrain the elite athlete, we do however want to focus on tweaking of technique to insure successful flow and finishing to scoring. Novice (less than 5 years of wrestling) will work on the core fundamentals of wrestling success. It is not important to be wide in knowledge and shallow in practicality but to have a narrowed focus and be deep in execution on the mat. We will teach the fundamentals of the highest percentage moves that will score on the mat consistently creating confidence and stability in their wrestling game plan. Performance Nutrition Teaching critical nutritional success factors for the athlete who needs to gain, maintain, or lose weight.
