nike7
BA makes the trip down to Memphis to take on Christian Brothers. BA handled JPII with ease in the first round. I know nothing about Christian Brothers, could anybody fill me in on them?
sweeptheleg
Ba should pull this one out baring a tremendous amount of turnovers or something.
footballace1
Ba should pull this one out baring a tremendous amount of turnovers or something. As much as i would love to see a memphis team win, i dont think CBHS is anywhere near the same level as BA. BA should win this one by 3+ TD's. nike7
So can anyone give a scouting report of sorts on Christian Brothers? I am very unfamiliar with their team this season.
fan6
Christian Brothers 21 BA 7 at the half. CB has scored on a 3rd and 5 pass (beat a blitz) and a QB keeper for 60 yards and a blocked punt. BA broke a run for 79 yards (to the one) and scored with a couple minutes left to stay in the game. Christian Brothers came to plan and BA hasn't shown up yet. . .
fan6
Final: Christian Brothers 37 BA 27. BA finally decided to show up in the 4th quarter and made a game of it (aided by the CB boys letting up a little I suspect), but in the end it was too little to late. BA missed executing a 2 pt conversion, 3 or 4 onside kick attempts and a 4th and 1 and Christain Brothers advances to play Baylor with a well earned win. BA's Al Thompson (Receiver who has signed with AZ State) was taken off of the field on a back board. He was moving both his legs and his arms, but he took a huge hit. Praying he is OK . . . Good luck to Christian Brothers next week. I suspect the winner of the game will get Ensworth in the finals (I'm assuming they beat Ryan?). I'd love to see somebody knock them off . . . I am completely shocked by this. I am happy for CBHS though. I hope this ends up like the 2005 state championship game.. MUS vs. CBHS in the finals. brothers
Final was 37-34, BA didn't show up until 10 minutes in the game, that's about the time we thought it was over. Wow, I was surprised by this game, we played the best we've played all year, and BA I'm sure did not play close the their best. See you in Chattanooga next week. My apologies - Final was 37 - 34 (I admit to flipping the live feed off when CB took the ball over after BA missed the 4th down and CB was taking a knee . . .). Aparenlty BA go the ball back on a bad punt snap and scored with a few seconds left). Maybe good I flipped it off . . . not sure my heart could have taken any more. That's right, bad snap or fumbled punt, deep in our end, BA scored with about 5 or 10 seconds left.

I understand that for a minute it even looked like BA might have come up with the ball on CB's final snap? I heard that Woody Barron jumped over and came up with the ball, but was off sides? In the end it doesn't matter. Great win for Christian Brothers who looked very sharp for 3+ quarters. Good luck in Chattanooga . . .
