I realize this thread is about 2012 football, but I just wanted to congratulate CDHS' Julius Montgomery, GHS' Tanner Stewart and WGHS' Dalton Boles on being chosen as Watuaga Orthopaedics Players of the Week this season. Also, a big congratulations to Dalton Boles for being chosen as the Watauga Orthopaedics Player of the Year! Considering the other players in NE TN and SW VA that are in competition for this award, that's something to be proud of.

I agree.

We were so very fortunate this year to see some of the best high school talent play in our city and county than we have had the great privelage to see in a long time! I'm talking all in one year in so many of our schools!

Now that we're not spittin bakker in each others eyes and break dancing on each others head, Let's hear some facts and predicts about Greene County Football for 2012!

      Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.

      Interesting how quite it is. Rumors are going around that Anderson County is being looked at by TSSAA for recruiting violations with the Campbell County transfers.

      I heard from a member of the teaching staff that there has been a dispute over use of the game field between football, and girls lacrosse team. Girls had a game and wanted to warm up and football coaches did want to leave. The football coaches came down hard with some bad vulgar language and the girls lacrosse backed down. What a classy act BHS athletics has become.

      The lawsuit requests a jury trial. Sable Winfree has extremely competent legal representation. FYI - her lawyer represented the Warren County school system for years, and I believe he knows what constitutes a reasonable lawsuit.
