Northeast AT Kenwood

I can't believe that this game has not been mentioned on the message board. Kenwood's gym will be rocking tomorrow night when Northeast visits with two of Kenwood's former players now playing significant minutes for the Eagles. First game was dictated by officiating and if the big man is deemed untouchable then it will be difficult for Kenwood to pull one out. However, if the refs let them play a little bit and treat him like an SEC basketball player that will be playing for the #1 team in the country next year, I think Kenwood has better than a fighting chance. If Poythress can't handle a little physical play in District 10-AAA then he will have a big problem playing in the SEC two times a week. I realize he has little to do with this and that it is primarily on the officials, but I just hope to see a good game called with no "Jordan Rules".

Kenwood needs to do a better job in free agency. That game is totally different without Tyrone Nesby's kid. Darius Brown, former Kenwood kid, was the difference in the game. It's a luxury having a 6'5 monster athlete dumping the ball down on a high low to a 6'8 Kentucky signee. They went on a 10-0 run in the third quarter that consisted of 3 Poythress dunks and 2 dunks by Brown.
