thebaseballguru
Look for Brentwood to run the table in the winners bracket with their potent lineup, and for Franklin and Indy (the two hottest teams in te district right now) to battle in the losers bracket championship for a spot in regionals. I give Franklin the slight edge in this matchup talent-wise, but Indy does have the mental edge of taking 2 out of 3 in the series earlier this season. A week ago I may have given Centennial in one of those spots, but they are really struggling after getting swept decisively by a Franklin last week. I'll take Franklin advancing to the final for the third straight year, making for an interesting rematch with the Bruins for the district title. IndyEagle09
Heard a rumor that the Franklin coach is out at the end of the season? Any truth to this? I will say I haven't been the biggest fan but he is having his best season at Franklin.
IndianBlue
Brentwood, Franklin, Centennial, Independence will most likely advance from 11AAA. Anyone besides Overton to worry about in 10AAA?
thebaseballguru
Only two teams advance from each district and Brentwood and Overton have already secured two of the four spots in regionals.
BT Mafia
Only two teams advance from each district and Brentwood and Overton have already secured two of the four spots in regionals. Are all games played at Brentwood or does the higher seed host the first round games? If anyone has access, please post the bracket.

This district is so incredibly close on talent that you can't necessarily pick a team to win. We all have our favorites but if a team is on its A game the whole tournament they will win it.. Not necessarily about talent in this case, more about who has the determination and balls to play great and win.

thebaseballguru
Franklin beats Brentwood 3-2 to advance to the district championship tomorrow. Payne threw 5 2/3 strong innings for the Rebels, both runs he surrendered were unearned. Spierto drove in the winning run in the 7th with a two-out single. Lefty reliever (not sure of name) picked up the win for Franklin, got big out coming in with bases loaded in the 6th. Brentwood will play Centennial at 430 tomorrow in the losers bracket championship for a shot at the Rebels in the title game immediately following at 7.
