wannabee
What's everyone think? Should be a good game but sycamore should win the game if they swing the bats well
sportsnutdad
Should be a good game but sycamore should win the game if they swing the bats well So how good is Sycamore's pitching and defense? Can they hit well against good pitching? DL's #1 starter, John Bolton should be ready to go. DL is a young team, but has been playing much better over the last few weeks of the season. John wasn't as sharp earlier in the season, but has really come on lately. Who is your #1 starter, and how good is he? Also, who is the best pitcher your team has faced and won this year? ksgovols
Beating Lipscomb in regions can define your program. If you beat them they'll want you on their schedule for the next 4 years to even the score. Good luck Sycamore!

"If you beat them..." - I don't get that. Oh well...didn't happen.
ksgovols
It's happened before. Trust me. See when Harpeth fell on Lipscomb's schedule.
greenergrass
It's happened before. Trust me. See when Harpeth fell on Lipscomb's schedule. Good programs want to play other good programs. That is how you get better. I admire coaches who want to play the best they can find rather than looking for cupcake wins to up their record. That's the way you keep getting better. Harpeth lost 7 players off that team that went to state. 'Good' would not describe the Indians the next 2 years. Don't get me wrong, it was good for our young guys to see the other side of the coin and watch a closer with a 90+ mph fastball keep the one hit shutout in tact in a mercy rule game.......but Lipscomb didn't get anything out of those games but a W and some measure of revenge. The guys that beat the Mustangs were all playing college ball and the coach was in Shelbyville by then.
