Region 6A/District 12A Pre-Season Poll

The buzz in lynnville is that Richland may have what it takes to compete for the district title this year? Really ? they have a new staff, and ive heard they have added some good athletes to their squad. my curiosity got the best of me so i stoped and seen the last 30 min of a practice and to my surprize their could be some truth to it! Can they really go from worst to first?

my thoughts for number one and two

1. CA

2.Mtp

3.loretto

I believe CA and loretto are going to shock alot of people. CA was a young team and so was loretto. going to shake things up this year

I have lived in Mt. Pleasnt most my life. but my nephew goes to CA. and I just got involved with there program this past season. and if half of those guys who played are returning. I think they will win the region.

If i remember correctly wasnt the game against Loretto and CA a shutout. or they scored a field goal at least but even so if they reutrn those guys what makes you think they will be any better than the beat down they received

It was without a doubt the worst game Loretto played all year, with mistake after mistake of our on doing. Dont get me wrong CA would still have won just not as bad as the score was also when the starters are taken out and CA still has theres in you can expect some difference in the score. I expect CA and Mt Pleasant to be the the teams to beat, but Loretto should be better as they really didnt lose too much and actually got better in a couple of those spots.

 

Also, if your going on last years scores Id think a few teams could make some arguements on what might happen this year.

I will be the first to eat crow. But as for now...they are at bottom with c'ville and pc.

I can understand the lack of respect because of past seasons. I watched last years team, awful! This is not the same team! I really believe it will come down to MP vs Richland for the title. Be there and let me know how crow taste. Like chicken?

What is it that is causing you to believe Richland will be good enough to win the region. Is this coach just that good or did he have some players move in? I heard some basketball players came out this year that hadnt been playing, but that just means they have a few more athletes in the skill positions. What about the offensive and defensive lines? How will they be in the trenches?

I really hate pointing out the obvious, but you say they look real good in practice. But most of the time when you put a 1st string offense vs a 2nd string defense and vicsa versa, those 1st string teams are going to look like World Beaters every time.

By no means am i taking away from Loretto. They are athletes. But they were giving CA a run for there money in the first half. I believe it was 14 to 3. And after that they just got clobbered. If they play like they did the first half they def have a chance to beating alot of people.
