I didn't read where anyone thought that Cookeville was a bad team just a lot of unknowns. It is a tough conf. good teams from top to bottom. After all it is just one person opinion. That is why we play the games. Work hard and we will see what happens. Looking forward to a great season in 7AAA.

Riverdale has the pitching, power, defense and is loaded with seniors and juniors, two of which have played since their freshman year ( Watson and Alexander ). Latest addition of another #1 pitcher is a transfer from Ala., lefty, early signee with David Lipscomb. Add in Smith, Humphrey, Underland with this kid and the pitching is solid. Blackman will be tough and should compete as well. Oakland is solid too but lacks power other than Michael Richarson. Pitching is solid but depends on how the seniors step up and perform. Should be an interesting race to say the least.

Do you mean "The Price Rule" The way I understand it district games will be played on back to back days like Tuesday and Wednesday unless the coaches agree other wise. If you travel to Cookeville on Tuesday then Cookeville comes to you on Wednesday with a the rain date being Thursday. It will be interesting to see how it works.

a lot of teams particularly in east tn and some in west tn use this format because it enables them to play tournaments. also, 1 pitcher cannot win the district tournament and particularly the new state tourney format. It will take at least 4 quality starters with the new state format This year will be very interesting because of this format. Are any district tourney's duplicating the state format?

are all the district games back to back for all teams? anyway i think thats a slap in the face. if this rule is because of david price, that is a coach saying i dont think my team is good enough to face him!!
