  1. That is a shame. I watched them through the year and thought Scott finally had them on the right track at the end of the season. It takes a while to get your system in place and get it working. Looks like Cookeville is still searching for it. Best of luck to Coach Hunt.
  2. Didn't Oakland and Mt. Juliet Play this year. If memory serves me I believe Oakland beat them 8-0 with Shao on the hill. Oakland threw their # 4 Howard. Now why should Mt. Juliet be ranked higher than Oakland? It's where you finish not were everyone thinks you should finish. Let the results stand on there own.
  3. Way to go RHS we are pulling for ya! Good win yesterday. Good to meet you RHS Fan, and thanks for the help hooking me up with Eric. To bad about his hand. What time do you play today? and where? We are at Gagliano at 7:30 tonight come out if you don't have anything else to do.
  4. Does Eric Webb play for Rockwood High School? If yes Have him email me kentnorth@comcast.net
  5. Oakland High School has the best playing surface infield and outfield for an on campus field. The storms early Monday did a lot of damage to the facilty.
  6. No doubt about it it's Ahmir Watkins from Blackman High School. Hit over 400 this year and set the state high school stolen base record this year. Nobody tops that one. Wwhen he gets on nobody throws him out and he puts a tremendous amount of pressure on opposing pitching. He is the top man.

    OHS beats RHS

bhump. You never cease to amaze me. You take a great high school baseball game and try to diminish the accomplishments on the field with your whining about one call. What about the two double plays and the throw to the plate that cut the go ahead run down and the two catches in short right field for the third out with runners in scoring position. I guess your video camera was broken in the first inning with the call at the plate. RHS got a call and maybe we did too, but you know what, you have to play well enough to over come those kind of obstacles in any sport you play. It just seems to me that with all the good plays from both sides in that game that you try to hang the loss on a coach's intimidation of an umpire. Nice job bhump RHS LOST that one move on.
  8. Slim isn't that Region 4 district 7AAA. Oaklands gang will be there. Let's pack the place both nights. Some more great 7AAA High School Baseball! See ya there.
  9. We appreciate the flowers. Thanks
  10. The pitching may have been used up oakland threw a sophmore in only his second start. But where were the bats? They surely didn't play there # 7th String batters did they?

    OHS vs HHS

NEVER A QUESTION ABOUT THE FRIENDSHIP TAKES A LITLLE MORE THAN THAT! I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHO IS TURNING IT IN TO THE PAPER. WHEN WE GET COVERAGE IT IS FROM A REPORTER BEING AT THE GAME. WHO KNOWS. ASK LIKMBAUGH I KEEP IN TOUCH SO HE CAN KEEP HIS STANDINGS. AS FOR THE CAPS I HAD ALREADY STARTED THE REPLY AND DIDN'T WANT TO CHANGE THEM. GOOD LUCK OVER THERE AT RHS. YOU GUYS LOOK AWFULLY STRONG!

    OHS vs HHS

OBIVIOULY HUMP YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH GOING ON AT RIVERDALE TO KEEP YOU BUSY. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO IS REPORTING TO THE DNJ. OBVISOUSLY YOU GUYS HAVE THE INSIDE TRACK ON THAT DEPT. SEEMS YOU GUYS GET A HALF A PAGE ON EVERYTHING. THE EXTRA ACTIVITIES THAT WENT ON WAS PROVOKED BY A HHS PLAYER BLOCKING THE PLATE ABOUT 8' DOWN THE LINE WITHOUT THE BALL OHS PLAYER GOT HIM OUT OF THE WAY AND SCORED AND AS THE OHS PLAYER WAS WALKING BACK TO THE DUGOUT THE HHS PLAYER THREW AN ELBOW. THE PLAYERS BOTH STAYED IN THE GAME. IT SEEMS TO ME WITH SO MUCH GOOD HAPPENING AT RHS THAT YOU COULD FIND SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE OR POSITIVE. 15. Oakland 9 - 1 over McGavock
  16. Hey Brian what is your e-mail address? kentnorth@comcast.net here is mine. Did you play today?
  17. The city paid for the lights not the school or the county and they were under some kind of agreement for that. Of course this is how I understand it.
  18. OAKLAND won 15-7 and 8-5 played two 7's
  19. Nobody is answering your question. The school didn't provide anything for Oakland Baseball the Booster club did. The only thing the county has given OHS was the Land to put a field on. $150,000.00 worth of infrastructure came from the Parents and supporters of Oakland Baseball. So go work those Titan games and have a ton of fund raisers like the rest of us. http://www.eteamz.com/oaklandbaseball/ go to the albums page and click on the field. 20. The site for Lebanon is http://www.wcschools.com/lhs/ I couldn't find one for Cookeville or Warren County. Sounds like a good idea about the call. We will see what happens e-mail me your number.

  24. HEY heading4home No one I know is laughing at Lavergne. Only thing I know is that you guys did it and there are a bunch of wantobees out there. Great season last year. Tough to repeat as Germantown found out last year. Good Luck in 2003. Nothing wrong with being LUCKY either. DOING WHAT EVER IT TAKES!
