Joseph Amonett - Pickett Co. (against Ezell in the 95 substate Pickett won 74-70 I believe and Amonett had 53. I don't think he missed a shot.)

So Shirey's from Ezell, huh? I didn't know that. He had a pretty good year with Martin Methodist last year. I know he lit us (Freed) up when we played them at their place. We held Goodman and Allison in check, and Shirey went nuts with something like 33. He really impressed me.

Hoops in Tennessee starts and ends with the western end of the state. In the early nineties, Penny Hardaway-Treadwell, Tony Delk-Haywood, and Stanley Caldwell-Union City heldit down in all the state tournaments. Lorenzen Wright was a beast at BTW, while Albert Wilson lead the state in scoring at Chester County. Here are some others:

AA-what about Todd Austin from Macon co he walked on at Tennessee but quit after a year i think

Dimeco Childress did play at ETSU. Last season he was named the Souther Conference player of the year. He put home 7 three's against Vanderbilt last season, i guess it was a bit of a home coming for him. Had alot to prove to the Commodores!! Freshman year at ETSU averaged 14 pts a game. Scoring average escaladed every year after that, w/his senior year being around 23 pts a game and as i said SoCon player of the year.
