you do not have to start a new thread in order to get your score,,,,,,not sure what the score was, but you can seek it on on the SCORES forum

 

I did look in the "Scores Forum" before creating the post and I looked at the "Scoreboard" also before creating the post. The score was not in either place. The reason that i created the post was to see if someone out there knew the score and would post it because it was not posted anywhere else.

And something is wrong with Whitey starting a thread to find out a score? Silly response

Whitey many of the Warren Varisty were injured this weekend so I believe that only 4 varsity starters traveled to play Independence, Berden (sp), and Beech. Which is a shame-would have liked to seen how they would have faired.

the answer to your question Coachof3 is, NO!..... .and I did not accuse him of being wrong. I don't think Whitey believes he was wrong in doing so either, and his 500 plus post says he knows that, .......Silly Response? Not sure about that because it is matter of opinion, but maybe a little more diplomacy in my response could have been used; I will attempt to work on that for YOU, Coach

Champ, probably not a bad idea you had on the scores forum or possibly deleting post on that forum older than maybe 10 days or so

No one needs to apologize and I don't think that anyone meant anything demeaning by what was said. I am just trying to get info on a group of ladies that I have worked with in the past and followed their progress. Most of them are Seniors and I was expecting very good things of them this year as they have played together for a long time. Coachof3 spent a lot of time with them as their coach at the Middle School and as their select team coach and did a great job of teaching them the fundamentals as well as exposing them to a higher level of soccer. That was something that was missing at Warren County for a long time. Namely, a feeder system to the High School. This should have been their year with the athleticism and soccer talent they have being the best to hit the High School in forever. Yes, I heard about the injuries and also that one of the seniors decided not to play this year. I was surprised by that because I felt that if she wanted to, she could have been picked up by some college and have played at the next level. I think that rather than have a post or forum for scores if we could just get people to post the scores on the scoreboard and keep that updated, that would solve the problem and prevent the unnecessary posting. Thanks.

Whitey, hopefully those girls you worked with and WC can heal and get back to pursuing that season you were chasing.....I know they had a tough 3 day run this past weekend......maybe your girls can regroup and make another run.......good thing is, Soddy is not quite as strong as they have been the past couple of years.....get well

      OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.

      They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.

      The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.

      I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
