There are a lot of good players in this classification who put up some numbers, but halfway through the season---my vote goes to #34 Raymer from Dresden. This kid plays every down (offense, defense, and special teams) and he is a player. He is fun to watch and he isn't a 6' 200lb back putting up these numbers. He may be 5'6 , 160lb, but he plays like a giant out there.

Back - A.J. Long(FC #3) leads all classes in yds passing. Hasn't played an entire game yet.

 

Lineman - Ian Isbell ((FC #62) 6'4 - 285 lb OL & DL. 4 yr starter and an unquestioned leader of FC's team.

I believe 1A and 2A are combined for Mr. Football. If that is the case, Head to Head competition would give Gordonsville's Payton Watson, Tyler Coen, Cody Payne, Brandon McCoy and Kaelin Cason the advantage over these to very good players you have named. You mentioned that Long has not played an entire game yet and it was because of the Gordonsville Defense led by McCoy and the others mentioned Long did not and/or could not finish that game. Also, #62 for FCS was manhandled that night, especially in the second half by Coen and fullback Nic Payne as they went off his side the biggest part of the second half. Late in the game, he was having a hard time getting up off the ground. Both of these FCS players are both very good but for purposes of this award, head to head competition speaks for itself.

I think fnl12 is correct, 1a & 2a are combined.

Look for Princenton Harlan from Mt Pleasant to be in the mix.

He should finsh the sason with or very close 2,000 yards passing with several td passes.

He also has several scores rushing & could have close to 800 yards rushing.

Devan Raymer is the best overall player. He is a beast.

Raymer has around 15 rushing TD's and 3 passes I believe and he isn't even a QB (he is because of injury so he is learing the job on the fly). The kid is amazing!!!!

Devan Raymer #34 for Dresden. He is a beast for his size. Maybe 5 ft 6 in & 160 lb. soaking wet. He'd be the next Tebow if he was about 50 lb. heavier & about 6' 3". Check out some tape on him & I think you'll agree.

#6 or #14 for JACKSON COUNTY Both great athletes , hard to make any noise down in JC though .
