We, on this board, may have our occassional battles, personal jabs, etc. (In which I find myself in a few every now and then), but holy cow...reading some of the football forums and their blastings is a totally different world....Some of the garbage being shelled out by Signal Mountain fans (and yes, maybe the Irish Fans also) regarding the upcoming Notre Dame v SM football game tomorrow is ridiculous...and I am sure may be tame compared to other rivalries I haven't clicked on.....

I wonder what Akula would do if I posted a picture of a klansman fighting a leprechaun? I did a spit-take when I saw that on the ND Signal football thread. The thing is, though, the football board is just a bunch of trolls for the most part. They are just having fun trying to get people fired up. Imagine a hundred people like Canes and that is what you have over there. Yes, stodgy posters like Indian exist on the football board, but that makes it fun to read as well.

You need to check the south pitt threads. Cage rattlers all over the place. Its great reading. You can def get away with a lot more there than any other forum on this site. icon_mrgreen.gif

My brother-in-law is leading the way over there, and he is supposed to be a professional in some way or another. No doubt, he loves his Irish Football

I was actually in your 100 acre wood last weekend. Joined a local Signal Mountain family who was having a wedding at Laurelwood. Quite a place (quite a drive). Later that night, my bride and I enjoyed the local suds at the Mellow Mushroom, I know I should have let you guys know I was coming but I would have found it hard to turn down all the free beer. Maybe next time.

      Gravedigger gotta finish filling the hole before hitting 40 East. May need a new Yellow Shirt play signaler on the Stones. And apparently a new strength coach now. Cicadas must've got shaken out of the bushes in Donelson. Hopefully the mower man sticks around to keep DG field looking pristine. Maybe new OC can call in a favor to his PGA friends that knows a thing or two about being green during the season. The heat is on soon. Bring in the 2 way freak Iceman and cool things off.
