MTSU Blue Raider Lineup Announced!

A huge thanks to all of the fans that came out to watch the MTSU Blue Raider Challenge Intrasquad Match on October 17th...there were about 250-300 people there as well as 90 viewers on the live UStream broadcast. 60 middle school and high school wrestlers from around the Rutherford County area attending a pre-match clinic run by Associate Head Coach Cory Watson, Assistant Coach Charlie Warfield, and many of the members of the squad.

 

The starting lineup after the wrestle-offs is as follows:

 

125 Anthony Patnode, Jr (White House, 2x NCWA National Qualifier, 2x Academic All-American)

 

133 Eric Feuerbacher, So (Blackman, 9th place at 133 last season, 1 pt from AA, set team record with 35 wins last season ~ 2x Preseason All-American)

 

141 Gabe Gamadamis, Sr (Eastside, GA ~ previously wrestled for Cumberland, honorable mention on NCWA Preseason All-American list)

 

149 Brian Keiffer, So (Ravenwood, back to the sport after a year off)

 

157 Chad Isbell, Fr (Clarksville, 2x TN state finalist, in the discussion for AA at 149 or 157)

 

165 Everett Colbert, Jr (McGavock, 2012 Nat'l Qualifier, was 34-17 last season with 110 takedowns ~ Preseason All-American)

 

174 Rakim Talley, Fr (Dickson Co, back to the squad after a semester off ~ Preseason All-American

 

184 Jonathan Roberts, So (Beech, 2012 Nat'l Qualifier, led the team in pins last season with 9 ~ Preseason All-American)

 

197 Michael LaBadie, So (East Stroudsburg South, PA ~ 2012 Nat'l Qualifier, 31 wins last year, Preseason All-American)

 

235 Adam Wells, So (Blackman, 2012 Nat'l Qualifier, will look to improve on a 18-17 season last year)

 

285 Tyler Bond, So (Rossview, 2012 Nat'l Qualifier, will look to improve on a 17-17 season last year)

The first tournament of the season takes place on October 27th at Mercer University where the Blue Raiders will look to defend their Bear Invitational title and make it 3 out of 4 years.
