I am sure there was some anxiety in playing a school like Sullivan South even as it has been announced already that they are to play in AA next year becasue of a reclassification due to school population. Sullivan is a school that knows volleyball and how to play the game. they eat and breathe playing and has a coach that does the same thing. Dropping down to AA will not be a problem. it just means, watch out AA. And the Big 8 will become the Big 7 and many schools are now ready to take their place. However, this evening Brentwood beat Sullivan South and the way the scores looked, they just ran out of gas. It doesnt diminish their play but it says likely Brentwood had fresher legs. You can't get this far at State without having the guns, and South had the guns. The score makes no difference but what does is that Barbara Campbell and the Bruins have earned anothr chance at a State Tournament against A Ravenwood team that didn't lose a match in the Tournament and Brentwood only lost one and that was to Ravenwood. Will Brentwood decide that stopping Ravenwood's run to the top is now and stop their run at two and win this one for Coach Campbell or has Tracey Berry got it figured out and make the match short run. matches haven't been easy between these two Schools and while outwardly they say they are good friends. But something tells me that both schools will be ready to play so for the State AAA Volleyball Championship tomorrow, its as it has been projected for some time, Two time in a row State champion Ravenwood against 7 time champion Brentwood for the Championship.

What is unfortunate, Sullivans scool population has fallen below AAA and the next year they are AA. Posters are having anxiety over friends they have known aat other schools. The Big 8 is a tradition in upper East Tennessee as far as schools are concerned. its hard to deal with not as many students.
