The biggest key to tonight for Sequoyah is if they can keep from arguing and panicking when something negative happens. If Sequoyah can keep that from happening, this could be a great game. King at QB is a great athlete who can throw the ball well and has legs to motor if he needs to get out of the pocket. Huffman is a bowling ball at rb/fb. He's tough between the tackles. The receivers are pretty good. Sequoyah's line is big and hard to move out. But, I believe that the only time Sequoyah has faced athletes along the line of DC is when they played Polk and Loudon. And those two games did not turn out well. This one will definately be one to watch.

Hope DC is ready to play. There have been alot of distractions in the past week and it is easy to look forward to Livingston and get caught in a trap game. Sequoyah fans seem to be humble and focused. Fight hard Tigers.

Well I made my way out to watch this one because there wasn't any better games in quad 1, DC played great and was very generous to Sequoyah, I thought it was a little ridiculous that your starters were in against DCs 2 and 3s; bombing the ball trying to score and finally did, you could tell #18 and #1 weren't full health, who knows how bad the game would have been, #3 and #73 destroyed the offensive line most of the night. Linebackers played good, I think the secondary will have to pick it up a little, but I think Dekalb is back. Ill probably have to catch Fulton and Greeneville next week. Good luck to everybody and safe travels.

    • I have no affiliation with Maryville anymore outside of being a 2nd generation graduate from a large family of Rebel alumni. That relationship ended courtesy of the lame duck AD (a Bearden grad I might add) and the HBIC. That said, I could care less if a private school comes through and offers every promising athlete out of that school or any other school better opportunities.
    • A perfect example is for athletes at Clinton High School. I will completely understand, and hopefully everyone should understand why they want to, and as of right now, it looks like that’s going to happen in numbers over the summer.
    • I mean, that’s easy to say when it hasn’t happened to your school that often, if at all, but yeah, I think everybody should be for the student athlete or player. Whatever they think will help them or their athletic career, I feel like they should be able to do that, even if that means transferring schools. Now I don’t really get that when you have almost every offer you could want and then jump ship, but what can I say? I guess money talks.
    • I for one am all for it.
    • Covid killed the city because they chose not to play football in the 2020 season. Therefore, kids weren't able to practice and develop, and continuing to lift weights. Memphis basically had 7/8 graders, skipping a year, then playing 9/10 high school football. Now, there's only one team that has made a "dent" which will be Southwind (made it to the 5A semifinals last year).  If you want to go more suburbs, then it'll be Houston, which won the 6A state title, defeating Oakland Other than that, I agree.
