Where are the SweetWater fans? You make the playoffs and nobody from Monroe County except you will make a comment? What about that fella y'all call 'dumdum'...I think I saw him post something last week.

I may as well post something that might get a response..I looked at both teams schedules...Sweetwater averages 24.2 ppg while Tyner was 27.6 ppg ; defense was 12.7 and 19.5 respectively.

Tyner had the tougher schedule: 7-4A, 1-5A, 1-DivII ; Sweetwater had 1-1A, 2-2A, 5-3A, 2-4A.

It means absolutely nothing once the ball is kicked @ 7pm on Friday!

Dumdum is a sequoyah fan if im not mistaken

Yeah, Sequoyah fan here, even though we lost to Sweetwater, Im pulling for the Wildcats. But I also know Tyner is tough, think they beat Signal Mountain early this year. It comes down to Tyners offense vs Sweetwaters Defense, they find a way to keep you out of the end zone. GO CHIEFS!!!

Wow! I would love to see this game. Just from what I can see I would have to give a decided edge to Tyner. They certainly played a tough schedule and ended with 7-3! Here's hoping for a clean game for both, but I see Tyner by 14 points. No disrespect to our former district foes, Sweetwater, I just think this Tyner team may be tough for anyone.

I think its an even game, but from what i've heard, IMO it sounds like Tyner has more athletes. But Sweetwater has played plenty of close games this year, they could easily be 9-1 instead of 7-3. Hopefully Coach Moser can put together a game plan to get a nice upset. It'd be nice to be in the 2nd round, where Sweetwater hasn't been since 2006.

Below is an article from the Sweetwater newspaper:

I like the last sentence...the writer giving Tyner some bulletin board material when he said: "This defense wants to show Tyner exactly what they are messing with Friday night".

Go "RamTrain and show them what Tee-Fi is about!!!

Hats off to Sweetwater on a great season finishing 7-3. They are a hard bunch to figure out though. They played Polk tough, got beat by Central, then beat Sequoyah. Sequoyah is the only team they beat that has a winning record. Tyner has impressive victories over Signal Mtn. and Tullahoma. Neither team can survive turning the ball over, however I do give the edge to Tyner

...And more importantly it comes down to Sweetwaters Offense against "RamTrain" Defense.

Not to mention the Tyner Pride Marching Band playing in the background...don't forget your sunglasses...the weather won't be as "cool" as these performers!

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
    • That's a fair line. But if it's not over, that's a big problem.
    • RR, you think that changes this year, or at least improves? I know they had a couple of talented young receivers last year that made some plays later in the year. Defensive back was a struggle against any team that was above average at throwing the ball.
    • You would think they got a bunch of interest
    • You would think with football just three months away more would be talking. There's only so much a person can say about someone allowing the field to get painted without asking their boss who would have said ((((((((  ALE NO ))))))))) or all the other BULLS#!T they've done as they lead Maryville High into the new age of WOKE in a conversative town. I'm ready for some football news without hearing something coming out of 825 that Power Munger has done to cap off the week.
